Thoothukudi City Municipal Corporation is executing road infrastructure facilities in required areas of Corporation limit under various schemes such as IUDM, TURIP, SRP, CFC and also through General Fund and frequent patch works are also provided in the damaged road areas. It was proposed to lay a length of 82.82Km of road (BT and Paver) in Corporation areas from the year 2019-20 to 2020-21 and in this 80% of works have been completed and the remaining works are in progress.
Thoothukudi City Municipal Corporation is executing Strom Water Drain in major vulnerable location by doing necessary survey under TNSUDP, Smart City Schemes. The overall proposed SWD have a length of 89.80Km and the works are in progress.
